Hi Ken! Thanks for your reaction. I did an other try now loading a small evidence file into "Encase Demo.exe" and so I got success to do it. I did some manage with the application until it crashed again. I'm attaching the output from "wine Encase Demo.exe" from STDOUT (got through some redirecting).
Thanks in advance,
CW.

Hi! I uninstalled the debian package and so I did the install from the last tarball. I set up debug symbols with the CFLAGS:
$ CFLAGS=-g ./configure
After that I did another try with EncaseDemo.exe and I got another crash. The report one is in the attachment.

--- Comment #6 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2009-08-04 12:11:01 --- Is it possible to obtain a demo .Case file? I can't find any with the demo.

--- Comment #7 from nickityman@hotmail.com 2009-08-10 17:31:22 --- Hi Ken! Sorry for the late reply but real life ... As a matter of fact you won't get to add any Encase® case in this demo version, but you will create a new case when you to drag and drop the *.E01 files (Encase Evidence's files) present in folder the follows the package.

--- Comment #8 from Trygve Vea trygve.vea@gmail.com 2011-01-13 19:16:03 CST --- Doing some bugtesting, and curious if it's still feasible to test this error.
I don't think the trial version available at the time of posting is the same that is available as of today - and the .e01-files that is required to reproduce the error isn't in the package.
Is it possible to get information of which version of EnCase this applies to, and a case-file?

As the last comment states the required files to test do not exist in the current download package. The application seems to be working well but the bug can't be tested.
