R.U.S.E. Public Beta terminal output

After installing wmp9 and xact through winetricks, installing the R.U.S.E.
Public Beta through Steam, and then skipping the attempted DirectX redist
install by aborting it during the install attempt, the game can then be
launched. Starting a simple battle (Battles -> click Team 2 placeholder -> AI
Regular (Easy) -> Launch), the game world appears to be massively washed out
with white, compared with the game's rendering on Windows. glxinfo reports:

OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce 9800 GT/PCI/SSE2/3DNOW!
OpenGL version string: 3.2.0 NVIDIA 190.53
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.50 NVIDIA via Cg compiler

advanced video options?

Unfortunately I cannot test this at the moment, as I do not have access to my
gaming machine right now; I will be happy to try disabling the option next
weekend.

Yes, it helps, there is normal graphics after then.

Against Deb 5.0.4 / nvidia 9800gt w/ 1024mb - nvidia_driver 190.52

The demo's GUI won't let me turn off HDR, it's checked but greyed out.
Is there an ini file or some other way to do it?

Your graphic preset should be set to custom to be able to change this option,
and shader quality very low will also force this option off.

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends
to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the
bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put
effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.

Is this still an issue with 1.7.4 or higher ?
