Hi guys, this time we have to go to wine's guru. So last working version is 1.1.6...
1. Please consider KEYWORDS: REGRESSION and fixing subj Tom->Tomb
2. Did a regression test between 1.1.6 and 1.1.7:
6dee4c6e639b7de1d4b1aaee9263d26ecce7bbc3 is first bad commit commit 6dee4c6e639b7de1d4b1aaee9263d26ecce7bbc3 Author: Alexandre Julliard julliard@winehq.org Date: Thu Oct 23 20:24:49 2008 +0200
kernel32: Return the Windows symlink in QueryDosDevice instead of the Unix one.

3. No other bug report suffers from this commit.
4. Revert of this patch on top of 1.1.7 makes that problem goes away.
5. Adding author of this patch to CC and voting for this bug report.
Another tests revealed, that demo (tested both standard and nextgen) are not affected. I don't know if thats because incompleteness of the game or because of versions (owned full version is v1.2 and demos are 1.0). So do not test this on demo versions.

Maybe it could come handy to have an actual console log. Attaching.

--- Comment #4 from Fab netfab@gmail.com 2009-10-25 06:37:04 --- I confirm the crash with vanilla wine 1.1.31 and Tomb Raider Legend 1.0 (just installed from the CD). I then patched TRL to version 1.2, and it crashed in the same way.

This bisected regression is still not fixed in wine-1.1.39-163-g583f0f0.
Alexandre, this is your friendly reminder :)) telling you, that commit 6dee4c6e639b7de1d4b1aaee9263d26ecce7bbc3 broke Tomb Raider Legend.

--- Comment #10 from Alexandre Julliard julliard@winehq.org 2010-03-20 13:55:53 --- Probably not a regression, just an unimplemented ioctl that was hidden because we returned a bogus device name.
