When in game NPC's and ragdolls stretch when within a certain distance. Their heads seem to have no problem at all. I have a few screenshots of this problem. I am using Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit. My hardware is an AMD single core athlon 64 +3800 @ 2.4 Ghz, an ATI HD 2400 Pro with 256 mb of ram and 2 gb ddr ram. I am using the ati drivers provided by ubuntu and I am using the latest version of wine from git. I am sorry that I can't provide any more information.

--- Comment #5 from Tobias Jakobi liquid.acid@gmx.net 2009-06-14 15:46:04 --- I think this is a duplicate of http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17701.
Anyway, I'm also seeing this issue: Running wine git master (recent checkout, I can't test wine-1.1.23 since it crashes early with 3D apps for me) on a integrated Radeon HD3200, using fglrx (recent Catalyst 9.5 series).
GLSL is enabled and DX9 mode is selected.

--- Comment #7 from Tobias Jakobi liquid.acid@gmx.net 2009-06-15 16:38:10 --- Can someone set the component to wined3d? It's either a bug inside the driver (is anyone seeing this with a nvidia card? Or an ATI card using the open-source driver? Or anyone with DX9-capable hardware that is not powered by fglrx?) or a bug inside wined3d.
Looks to me like either error in the vertex buffer or calculation errors inside the vertex shader. If it's the vertex buffer there might be some memory corruption around.

--- Comment #8 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2011-10-01 15:10:11 CDT --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 1 year. Is this still an issue in current (1.3.29 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #9 from Goblinstomper@gmail.com 2012-07-27 09:19:35 CDT --- This is not observable with current wine (1.5.9) and current fgrlx (12.6) and inactive for ..3 years.. probably safe to assume to be resolved.
