Summary: When emulating Sprint-Layout the mouse doesn't catch obercts Product: Wine Version: 0.9.49. Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P4 Component: wine-programs AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: chiliov@yandex.ru
Sprint Layout - a very good and simple CAD program for PCB design. On windows OS it works fine, but when emulated the mouse doesn't catch tracks, routes and pads. I must make a group with the mouse to move something, and that decreases the productivity a lot. Here's the Sprint-layout homepage: http://www.abacom-online.de/uk/html/sprint-layout.html See what you can do. Regards!

On this homepage you can download a demo version. Try to catch a route that you have drawn in the PCB and it doesn't catch it. It behaves like there is no track, but nothing. It starts to make a "selection rectangle", that selects things under it when you drag the edge. Then with little luck the track is selected. But, when you try to drag it, it deselects.
On windows OS you can click on a track and it selects, then drag it and it moves.

--- Comment #3 from Iwan Iwanow chiliov@yandex.ru 2007-11-24 02:23:17 --- Today I found out that it can catch a track, but only when it is vertical. When it is horizontal or tilted it doesn't catch it, as I said upper

--- Comment #4 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-06-05 10:50:05 --- Is this still an issue in 1.0-rc3 or newer wine?

--- Comment #5 from Antony sharky.dog@gmail.com 2008-07-03 10:07:08 --- Yes it still isn't working with the newest version. It doesn't catch routes, pads and elements (macros) only vertical routes. It's very nice software and i hope that it will run smoothly on wine soon because i want to move entirely on linux.

--- Comment #6 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-01-03 19:36:55 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.12 or newer) wine?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10551
--- Comment #7 from Antony sharky.dog@gmail.com 2009-01-09 03:45:08 --- No, i am using Wine 1.1.12 and the situation is the same. Haven't tried printing though (because there were problems with the corners of the tracks when printing), but this is bigger problem than printing.
