The game (KB:Armored Princess, Steam version, patched to 1.2) generally crashes on loading screens (entering/finishing a battle, entering a castle etc.) I think the bug is the same as in the prequel: King's Bounty: The Legend (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15817)
Installing the native version of msvcrt.dll apparently solved the problem (no more crashes after several hours of gameplay).

The game needs native d3dx9_36.dll to run (at least the steam version).

I re-tested the game with Wine-1.1.40 using the built-in msvcrt.dll, the crash still exists.
Attached a +msvcrt trace in case someone is interested.
P.s: the game always crashes on the loading screens either on entering a battle/castle or finishing a battle but never crashes when loading a saved game for instance. I don't know if it matters.
