--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2013-12-05 21:51:29 CST --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.7 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.7 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

--- Comment #2 from Vanack Sabbadium ubuntugamingproject@gmail.com --- Since, as i reported, i can't see anything in the main menu of the game with a version of Wine >= 1.5.20 (black screen), i can't tell you if this bug occurs in newest versions of Wine.
What can i do about it?

--- Comment #4 from Jarkko K jarkko_korpi@hotmail.com --- I asked Vanack Sabbadium about debug log.
He replied back
"Well, the bug seems to be solved in latest Wine release (1.7.18), if OffscreenRenderingMode is set to "backbuffer", but then if you start a game, you only see a black screen. So i think THAT's now an issue..."

--- Comment #5 from Vanack Sabbadium ubuntugamingproject@gmail.com --- Yeah, as i said, main menù looks great now if OffscreenRenderingMode is set to backbuffer. But i can't see anything in-game. I'm trying several settings but none of them works. Maybe i should open another ticket...

This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.51 or newer) wine?
Austin, as i already said, here's the issue. I've just installed the game, and ran it with 1.7.51 wine version. If i set "OffscreenRenderingMode" to "default", i can't see anything in the main menù, and i can't start any new game. If i set "OffscreenRenderingMode" to "Backbuffer", i see everything in the main menù, but if i start a new game, screen is completely black, and even if i hear sounds, i can't see anything and the game is not playable. I also ran the game with 1.5.0 wine version (just to give it a try), and it works without any issue with "OffscreenRenderingMode" set to "default", even the main menù. So your question is: is this still an issue with newer versions of wine? The answer is: i don't f*****g know, since i can't reproduce it anymore! But.. If it has been "solved" in 1.5.0 wine version, i SUPPOSE that it has been also solved in 1.7.51 wine version, which now presents another bug (#36373).
Can you close this bug? If you say "it's been solved since it works with older wine versions", i say yes. If you say "i don't know, since i can't reproduce it with newer wine version", i say no.
