Summary: Search path should include base directory of the installer started Product: Wine Version: 1.1.30 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: rainer.kaluscha@web.de
I tried to install the app "DasTelefonbuch Gelbe Seiten Map & Route". The DVD contains an autorun.inf file which points to start.exe in its root directory (mounted on /dvd). If I run start.exe from konqueror or with absolute path (wine /dvd/start.exe) it fails to find its fellow programs (wine: cannot find L"C:\windows\system32\setup.exe"). However, if I do a "cd /dvd; wine start.exe" everything is fine. So it might be a good idea to include the `dirname` part in the search path of wine.

--- Comment #1 from Andrew Nguyen arethusa26@gmail.com 2010-09-02 14:37:18 CDT --- The bug seems invalid to me, as it's probably the responsibility of Konqueror and/or the user to set the working directory correctly for a process. Probably the autorun launcher assumes that its working directory is on the DVD drive, and I believe Windows Explorer would set the autorun process's working directory appropriately when launching.
