WINEDEBUG=+warn+all  console output.

VMware vSphere client console does not work. When clicking the console tab or
the button 'Launch Virtual Machine Console'.

Error message returned: "The VMRC console has disconnected...attempting to
reconnect."

I guess you used Wine-Staging 3.10 for installation?

vsphereclient.vmware.com/vsphereclient/1/2/8/1/6/5/0/VMware-viclient-all-5.5.0-1281650.exe

Did you install any prerequisites (.NET Frameworks), winetricks recipes?

I guess one needs an actual server connection (valid IP) to reproduce?

When I start the client, a login dialog is shown that requires a valid server

Yeah and ESXi server to cnnect to with VMs hosted on it to manage. You are
correct staging 3.10, install instruction in full on the AppDB page.

Sadly a ESXi is required to fully use (and test) the vSphere Client this being
a tool to access and manage VMs *on ESXi*. I am running a ESXi server so I am
one of the few able to test and debug this...

It will take a lot longer, I guess, but if you can instruct me how to proceed I
can carry out your instructions and gather the appropriate info (far from ideal
I know).

Same problem, using wine 3.14

I eventually got the client up using WINEARCH=win32 (64 won't work), and got
the right components installed.

I can try and get some information too.
