--- Comment #2 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-04-07 11:47:18 --- You system.ini says:
MPEGVideo=mciqtz.drv
Do you have a mciqtz.drv file? I don't see it in Wine or on my WinXP partition.

No... Can I get it somehow?
But why there is in system.ini that string, if I don't have that file?

Are you running this from a windows partition?
No.

--- Comment #5 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-04-08 00:20:34 --- Ah, WinXP has mciqtz32.drv. I don't think Wine has an implementation of it yet, but you can try using the one from Windows.

I tried download this file from http://www.dll-downloads.com/hosts.asp?file=mciqtz, but it didn work. I can paste error raport later.
Is it possible that this doesn't work because I have 64-bit system?

--- Comment #7 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-10-17 14:41:11 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.6 or newer) Wine?

I haven't tried that game but i've just tried with newest wine and jnightmare(free game) http://autofish.net/video_games/creation/game_maker/gmprojects.html and this is the latest output before i get "unexpected error occured when running the game" error msg and OK button: fixme:mci:MCI_LoadMciDriver Couldn't load driver for type L"MPEGVIDEO".
I assume this affects all game-maker games(which is a looot of games) that uses MPEG funcionality..

I have a similar issue with the free game "Iji" (same error message, no music playing), which i believe is also a game maker game. So "kfs1" may be right with his assumption that it may affects many game maker games.
Maybe someone should open a new bug for this?

I just thought the "video" in the title could be misleading, because in my case with Iji just the music was missing. Maybe a stupid idea ;)
Still not working with 1.1.18 by the way.
