Source Engine based games have display problems when using Nvidia binary
drivers 169.07. Some 2D elements are not drawn, black box instead.

Hardware: GF8600GT

Does it not happen on older Nvidia drivers? If so then it is an Nvidia driver
bug and not a Wine one.

This problem is related to the new drivers only, but is also possible that
changes in Nvidia drivers exposed previously unknown Wine bug.

That's very, very unlikely as no new 3d features are exposed in the latest
drivers which also get used in Wine.
