wine output

Installing "Psalmen - Lieder des Lebens" works now with 1.0 - thanks for that.

Unfortunately it's still not possible to use that programme: When starting up
an error "Runtime Error (6): Overflow" is shown and the programme quits.

Attached there is the wine output (a lot of fixme's). I'm not quite sure which
of these errors causes the programme to crash. If the application is needed, I
will provide it - just contact me via email.

thanks for the comments so far.

unfortunately winetricks doesnt do the job.

to get more information about that: i have created a verbose wine output (using
+relay) and stripped the last 100 lines.

gcc version is 4.2.3

100 lines is not useful.  We need the whole thing, probably
you'll need to compress it.  rzip is the best compressor for
large logs.

You probably want +seh,+relay, btw.

wine 1.1.12 installation debug output

I have uninstalled my previous installation of this programme, with 1.1.12 the
installation crashes (as it did before 1.0).

I also tried a clean, new WINEPREFIX, but the same results.

I've attached the debug output with +seh,+relay (rzipped).

Both problems persist with wine-1.1.13.

* Installer cannot be started, the output is similar to version 1.1.12

* The manually installed application (using unshield) still has the buffer
overflow error message

No idea why it can't delete iKernel.exe.  Can you make sure that
file does not exist before you start the run?  Also, can you give
us a +relay,+file,+ntdll log?  (Or send us a copy of the app?)

wine 1.1.13 installation +relay,+file,+ntdll output

the installations were made with fresh created WINEPREFIX folders. I checked,
the file does not exist.

I have checked the 1.1.13 log for this entry and couldn't see it. so attached
you find the log.

I have to check with the copyrightholders, wether or not I can send you the
program for debugging purposes (or does wine have a regulation about this?)

That install log didn't get very far, didn't even execute the installer?!
Please check the number you dialed and try again :-)

For extra credit, start notepad in another window so wineboot etc. don't
clutter the log.

Wine's policy in general is to obey copyright laws.

I figured out that the CD-ROM I have is broken, so forget about the errors
installing the programme. The file ikernel.ex_ was unreadable from the disk.

I re-installed the programm and ran it. Here

Yes, the problem persists with wine 1.1.26.
Please let me know how I can help to identify the very problem.

Though the software is closed source, I have talked to the developer and they
agreed that I can send a copy to someone for debugging purposes, but must not
upload it to the public.
