In Age of Empires III,
On Fedora 8.

Install went fine,
But no mater how I attempt to run the game it looks like it may start only to
fail without errors.

I tried to start it in terminal nothing happens,
No error or even a load proses.

I wonted to See something so I installed the trial version,
And that worked.

I wonder if I still need the no-CD patch?

I updated the game and everything that I could do I did,
But nothing.

I don't get it how the trial version worked,
And the full version didn't?

Any thoughts?

Upgrade to wine-0.9.52. There was one last thing preventing old versions of
SafeDisc to work properly.

This game works fine with original cds, problem as described here does not
apply to recent game versions and bug maybe duplicate of bug #16244

you need to delete the newprofiles.xml in user folder on yourname/My Games/Age
of Empires 3 or newprofiles2.xml in the user2 folder on the same directory
before you start the Age 3
