--- Comment #1 from Louis Lenders xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk 2007-10-06 03:37:27 --- Could you try if using native d3dxof.dll works around the crash? Thanks

--- Comment #2 from Thomas Winwood 07067514@brookes.ac.uk 2007-10-06 04:29:12 --- Using native d3dxof.dll didn't seem to help, but I don't know that I did it right - I opened winecfg and added the override for d3dxof.dll, changing it to "Native then builtin" and copying d3dxof.dll to C:\Windows\System32\ - there was no existing d3dxof.dll to replace.

I get a somewhat different crash. It looks like some nasty bug in CreateFileA. Anyone an idea ?

--- Comment #6 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2007-10-15 16:25:07 --- I can confirm in wine 0.9.47. FWIW, to reproduce:
Used virtual desktop, OSS sound, hardware/driver emulation for sound, no native overrides.
Once the program launches, wasn't sure what to click. I used the top option, then the top option again. >> Same crash as reporter.
