Bug #: 31911 Summary: Dota 2 freezes randomly during game Product: Wine Version: 1.5.14 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: andrewresch@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified
When playing a match or even sometimes at the main menu, Dota 2 will freeze up and I have to switch to another desktop and kill the process. When looking at the log from Steam, I see a bunch of this:
err:d3d_surface:surface_blt_fbo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_FRAMEBUFFER_OPERATION (0x506) from glBlitFramebuffer() @ /var/tmp/portage/app-emulation/wine-9999/work/wine-9999/dlls/wined3d/surface.c / 1265
Followed by:
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0xd68d5c4 "/var/tmp/portage/app-emulation/wine-9999/work/wine-9999/dlls/winex11.drv/bitblt.c: surface" wait timed out in thread 0009, blocked by 002b, retrying (60 sec) err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7ed4e8e0 "/var/tmp/portage/app-emulation/wine-9999/work/wine-9999/dlls/user32/user_main.c: user_section" wait timed out in thread 0037, blocked by 0009, retrying (60 sec)
I am using the latest version of wine from git.
I have attached a full log.

--- Comment #8 from Alf Høgemark alf@i100.no 2012-10-14 03:05:24 CDT --- For the taskmanager hang, I actually got these two messages : err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7ea27960 "win.c: surfaces_section" wait timed out in thread 008f, blocked by 0091, retrying (60 sec) err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x1844d4 "bitblt.c: surface" wait timed out in thread 008e, blocked by 0091, retrying (60 sec)
