Summary: Regression: Wine Gecko install hits an unhandled page fault Product: Wine Version: 0.9.35. Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-misc AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: rm.riches@verizon.net
This appears to be a regression from 0.9.34 to 0.9.35. Wine Gecko installer goes to 'installing', stays there for several seconds, then Wine blows up with an unhandled page fault.
Application is PAF (Personal Ancestral File) 5. Application installation and initial use appear to work fine. When clicking on the yellow question mark at the top of the window (the help button), the help panel comes up properly. A dialog box comes up asking to install Wine Gecko, which downloads and switches to "installing" in the dialog box. The hourglass next to the mouse cursor pointer icon flickers for a few seconds, then it stops for a few more seconds, then Wine blows away with an unhandled page fault.
The help function didn't start being usable at all until Wine 0.9.32. With Wine versions 0.9.32, 0.9.33, and 0.9.34, Wine Gecko would install and give at least some level of help functionality.
AppDB page for application version is http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iVersionId=1706
I'll try to attach a text dump showing the unhandled page fault.
