Comments cannot be created, modified, viewed, or saved in Acrobat Pro 7 (Tryout
Version).

this bug differs from bug 11835 in the following way:

in Acrobat Pro 6, you can at least see the comment's text by hovering over the
"sticky note"; here that is not possible.

Bug exists in both Acrobat Pro 7 and Acrobat Reader 7.

In wine 1.1.2 with a clean .wine and with a native riched20.dll (`sh winetricks
vcrun6`) comments continue to not work in Adobe Acrobat Standard 7. They cannot
be viewed, modified or created.

Still present in 1.2. There are a few shdocvw fixme's, so I tried winetricks
ie6, but that didn't help either (along with riched20).

I have had the same problem in the following Acrobat versions 7, 9, X Pro in
all wine versions for several years (went through all the 1.1.xx and 1.3.xx
point releases...).

This is really a big deal for me, and it should be for anyone who wants to make
comments/notes/annotations in PDF using Acrobat via. I am surprised this is not
getting more attention.

Same problem also exists in Acrobat 8 Pro under wine 1.6, as well as any
version of the 1.7 branch, up to 1.7.11.

Hovering on top of comments don't clearly work correctly, but clicking the
notes seems to work just fine.

Hovering over the comments its clearly trying to show something, it shows a
yellow box every time you hover over comment. Clicking the comments shows the
content.

It's like some tooltip bug that some text is cut. I don't know how this
supposed to look in windows.

Still present in wine-2.4 using Acrobat Reader DC installed as per the AppDB
with `winetricks mspatcha` and WinXP 32 bit prefix. I've attached a console log
with the relevant fixme when trying to hover over a sticky note to view the
comment. It seems it could be related to an unhandled interface:

fixme:richedit:IRichEditOleImpl_inner_fnQueryInterface 0x3055308: unhandled
interface {8d33f740-cf58-11ce-a89d-00aa006cadc5}

This also does not allow the text of comments to be shown in the side bar (View
-> Tools -> Comments -> Open). Currently the only way to edit comments is by
double clicking on the comment to show the window popup. I tried to workaround
this by using `winetricks riched20` and it just made the problem worse.
