Bug #: 32252 Summary: Corel Painter 12 EULA next button greyed out no matter what Product: Wine Version: 1.5.17 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: andrewfulrich@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 42558 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=42558 wine output
When I run setup.exe for Corel Painter 12, it loads up and takes me to the EULA. I can scroll to the bottom and check "I accept the terms and conditions", but it doesn't un-grey the "Next" button so I can't continue the setup. I am attaching the wine output. The last two lines are outputted when I clicked the window and then the checkbox.

Thanks for the quick response. After trying winetricks msxml3, the window is now all white so that I can't even see the EULA. I am attaching the wine output.

Ok, now the EULA is visible again, but the "I agree to the terms and conditions" checkbox still doesn't un-grey the "Next" button.

--- Comment #5 from Andrew Ulrich andrewfulrich@gmail.com 2012-11-19 20:55:22 CST --- Also, the finish button doesn't work when I cancel the installation. I have a feeling that will be fixed though when we resolve the current issue.

--- Comment #6 from Andrew Ulrich andrewfulrich@gmail.com 2012-11-20 10:35:54 CST --- I just found the following article on Corel's website: http://corel.force.com/index/articles/en_US/Master_Article/000007359-Next-bu...
It hints that this issue may be a user permissions issue. After I get home from work I will try changing my wine to emulate Win98 instead of the default Windows2k to see if that will bypass this issue. However, I also found this thread that says I should already have admin privileges: http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=14369
There is also this thread about another Corel Product: http://coreldraw.com/forums/t/31965.aspx
I will investigate this further tonight hopefully.

--- Comment #7 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2012-11-20 11:10:29 CST --- Let's not mess this up with many native modules, the reason it looks worse with native msxml3 could be explained, and doesn't mean our msxml3 actually works. Please attach +msxml,+tid running from clean wine prefix.

unfortunately the installer doesn't allow installation when the wine windows version is older than windows xp, so I can't try seeing if it's an admin privileges issue by stepping around it in this way

--- Comment #14 from Gijs Vermeulen gijsvrm@gmail.com --- I tested with a version matching Austin's from Comment #8.
In both winxp and win7 mode I was able to scroll to the end of the EULA, accept the T&C and click 'Next', so this bug is fixed.
A lot of msxml errors appear during the installation and it crashes after completing, but those deserve their own bug reports, marking this one FIXED.
Adding stable download.
