When I am using X-Lite (http://counterpath.com) with ALSA sound driver in WINE
- I hear the sound with frequent short interruptions. With OSS - it`s all
right, but other applications that use sound card don`t work, or x-lite don`t
work if, for example audio player runs first.

I have this problem on many PC and any versions of WINE.

Please upgrade your Wine to latest version (wine-1.1.29) and retest.

I tested it on wine-1.1.29 yesterday. The result is same.
Yes i am using Ubuntu Jaunty. Maybe I need to update ALSA? Now i am downloading
Karmic alfa 5 where ALSA is up to date and will test it there.

On ubuntu 9.10 karmic i can`t test it but on Jaunty i have been upgrade ALSA to
1.0.20 and result is the same.

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends
to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the
bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put
effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.

Is this still an issue with 1.7.4 or higher ?

The versions of the app currently available for download from the vendor are
significantly different from the one for which this bug was filed (require
dotnet40 and vcrun2012), so they would not be valid tests for this bug even if
they didn't crash on start.

Old versions are available from http://www.oldversion.com/windows/x-lite/ if
anyone wants to try to figure out which version the OR used and test that.

I can reproduce the issue with X-Lite 3.0 in wine 1.3.22, there is a button in
the screen to enable dialing a number, when you do that it's possible to hear
the short interruptions, that is no longer present in wine 1.6 or 1.7.33.
