Please file separate bugs for the install and the post-install problems.
(If I were you, I'd close this bug as INVALID, as it's got so
much detail about the two mixed together that anyone working on
it is likely to get confused/annoyed...)
Be sure to use the download keyword on both, and the install keyword
on the installer part.
