Summary: Icons incorrect in Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.0 and TED Notepad Product: Wine Version: CVS/GIT Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: susancragin@earthlink.net
There appears to be a couple of minor bugs displaying icons in Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I download the git and install DNS 9.0 Preferred on a daily basis. For a while now, the program has produced 2 desktop items. One was correct, and the other was a dummy. Other programs showed the same behavior, including TED Notepad. (See Screenshot.) Then last week sometime, WINE stopped producing the correct DNS icon, and produced only the dummy. On Fri, May 2, 2008, I downloaded the git and installed Dragon Naturally Speaking 9.0 again. This time, WINE replaced the menubar shortcut icon with a wineglass icon. The icon continues to run the program correctly. See Screenshot-1. It also installed the wineglass icon when I tried to install the Sony e-book reader. (The installation was not successful.)

In today's git one of the minor icon problems was solved. When DNS 9.0 installs, it now creates a working desktop icon. (It still pictures the winebottle rather than DNS's dragon, but it works). It also still creates a nonworking icon called Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.0.Ink.

Is this still an issue in current (1.1.7 or newer) wine?
Yes. The only icon generated for DNS is the WINE wineglass. DNS is supposed to have a dragon. I haven't tried TED lately but assume it's the same.

--- Comment #7 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-01-19 15:15:43 --- Removing deprecated CVS/GIT version tag. Please retest in current git. If the bug is still present in today's wine, but was not present in some earlier version of wine, please update version field to earliest known version of wine that had the bug. Thanks!
