Simgolf, with the latest patch, does not render any terrain and instead simply
renders a black background. The attached screenshot illustrates this.

Same bug for me. Otherwise game seems to run just fine. Attached screenshot is
precisely the issue I have.

This is still the same problem in 1.1.2.9  Wine.    I really hope this game
gets working.    Its seems odd that it doesn't to me for some reason.

I have the same problem with Wine 1.1.35, Ubuntu 9.10 32 bits and Intel GM45.

Still in Wine-1.4-rc5, Nvidia 250 gfx card / driver 290.10, X.Org X Server
1.11.4.

With a current Wine terminal output shows:

Confirming terrain is still not being rendered, everything else works
absolutely fine

Main menu loads fine, selecting new game, then the course...as it's loading the
below error message pops up.

This bug is still present in the year 2015 with version 1.7.34 of WINE.

Same errors about GL Context, etc. No changes.

gdi32: Fix arguments for OSMesaMakeCurrent when using 16 bit formats.

This patch (by Michael Müller) allows to get a step further. The terrain is
displayed, but the graphic looks distorted. The game seems to make specific
assumptions about the ordering and available formats.

This bug is still present in the year 2018 with version 3.0 of WINE.
The terrain is displayed, but the graphic looks distorted.

SimGolf debug w/flags: +d3d,+gdi,+gdiplus

Added a debuglog for SimGolf using Wine 3.9-staging from the Fedora
repositories.

The following bugs are visible in-game:
 - Texture bug (as reported earlier)
 - The scenery and tooltip texts are not displayed at the same time. It seems
like the game switches between showing tooltips and scenery+menu.

The original bug is gone. Grass texture rendered in pink instead of green.
Tested on Wine 4.8. Is the graphic display 16 or 24bit?

This bug is fixed in wine-4.19. In fact, it was already fixed long time ago
