I have installed Wine 1.0 rc1 on a Red Hat 3 OS. I continue to get errors when trying to execute ./wine "./wine: could not locate Wine source tree"
I also receive the error "wine: error while loading shared libraries: libwine.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" when trying to execute ie6setup.exe

How did you install Wine? From a RPM or did you compile the source?
Why are you running 1.0 rc1? Upgrade to 1.0 or 1.1.2.

I could not find an RPM so I loaded this with the file wine-1.0-rc4.tar.tar
I have actually tried the newer versions and am unable to get them to extract without errors.
I would love to use an rpm but could not find one.
I did get 1.1.2 to load but when trying to load ies4linux-2.99.0 I continue to get that wine was loaded with a version before 0.9 I was hoping to fix this with older versions. No luck
