The installer downloads its files, but when trying to install, fails, saying it
doesn't have write access to C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft Trial.

FWIW, I had native ie6 installed, to work around bug 22092 (and to see if it
helped here). No change with/without it.

but they're offering 9 now.  It will take me a while to dig up my old copy.

Actually, it seems to install fine, it's just a nuisance. Running the installer
again will show the error though, making it easy to reproduce. Click play
launches wow though.

Installing native wininet in addition to ie6 gives:
fixme:advapi:ParseStringSidToSid String constant not supported: L"DU"

which looks suspicious. In addition there are a bunch of seh fixme's:
fixme:seh:_abnormal_termination (void)stub
fixme:seh:_abnormal_termination (void)stub
fixme:seh:_abnormal_termination (void)stub

I've also added the trial to wisotool (wisotool wowtrial). You don't need a
login to test this bug.

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days.

Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc3 or higher or is this to be
closed as abandoned ?
