Homeworld crashes when we attempt to change the resolution in the game's options. This is a long lasting problem, this bug report makes mention of it but it was not it's focus : http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11986
I have attached a +ddraw log. Let me know if you need more.

everything is OK. I can change resolution in d3d mode, software mode and OPengl mode.

wine Homeworld2.exe -w 1440 -h 900
For example, will run homeworld2 at 1440*900. This works for prettymuch any resolution you'd care to name (Also note the above is not in the options menu anyway).
Also, using the above causes the menu driven method of changing resolutions to fail in windows anyway, so if you do use this workaround ensure you undo it when testing for this bug.

I can start Homeworld with the /1024-switch which changes the resolution to software rendering and 1024x768. Trying to switch to OpenGL crashes the game.

When I try to change resolution the game screen disappears and process hangs at 100% cpu.
