In this attachment is the terminal output of Xfire after launching the program. The point at which I click in the window is just prior to the err:dbghelp line (second from the end).

Looks like it has it's own crash handler, please compile from source and attach a backtrace: http://wiki.winehq.org/Backtraces

--- Comment #3 from Justin Soulia rockinup1231@gmail.com 2009-10-25 20:18:41 --- This is a duplicate of bug 17497, which is fixed. But as I was explained to there, wine must be compiled using the latest binutils and gcc version availible, aka from SVN, else the fixes that were made in the wine source will not work.

Have you tested this and confirmed this isn't a separate crash?

--- Comment #5 from Justin Soulia rockinup1231@gmail.com 2009-10-25 22:00:08 --- I've tested it as much as I possibly could to invoke a crash, but I don't encounter one. I even got Xfire to work ingame on Halo.
Also, looking at that terminal output, the crash was not dissimilar from what I saw prior to the bug being fixed.
The only time xfire seems to crash is when wine-gecko is not installed, in which case the gui won't even load before crashing.
