With version 6.17 controller did not function. However deleting a registry key
fixed the controller. ( That bug is already mentioned here )

But controller randomly disconnects now instead.

Doesn't happen with version 6.16

Can you please be more specific? With what application can this be reproduced?
How frequently does it happen? Can you please attach default terminal output?
Does this bug occur with upstream (non-staging) wine?
