I do not own StarCraft, so i can only give you some tips:
1. check "http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=149" for more tips
2. "winetricks corefonts" help me with similar problem in Diablo1 (crashes when run)
AppDB rates it gold for 1.1.38, so probably ask there or in the forum.

--- Comment #4 from Tomasz Sobczyk dottomi@gmail.com 2010-04-20 18:03:08 --- I've run it on Wine 1.1.42, saw a backtrace of DSOUND error with the buffer, disabled ALSA in winecfg and it worked, so I guess it was because of my ALSA sound card driver (which is buggy).
