--- Comment #1 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-02-29 12:02:35 --- If it's a regression, what was the last good version? Please do a regression test:

--- Comment #2 from Ben Hodgetts (Enverex) ben@atomnet.co.uk 2008-02-29 12:06:35 --- Lei, I've got a few hundred bugs and several commits to my name, I'm not new, I just don't have the time to regression test it right now. ;)

--- Comment #3 from Neil Skrypuch ns03ja@brocku.ca 2008-02-29 16:32:58 --- I can't reproduce this with wine-0.9.56-264-g848383a, though I'm running in a virtual desktop. Is this bug limited to some specific Wine settings?

--- Comment #4 from Ben Hodgetts (Enverex) ben@atomnet.co.uk 2008-02-29 16:34:38 --- Do a "git pull" and full recompile now and try again.

--- Comment #5 from Neil Skrypuch ns03ja@brocku.ca 2008-02-29 16:40:39 --- I just did that about 10 minutes ago, `git pull` reports that I'm "Already up-to-date." right now.

--- Comment #6 from Ben Hodgetts (Enverex) ben@atomnet.co.uk 2008-02-29 20:00:36 --- Ok, found out what's causing this. I didn't have any sound drivers selected in winecfg. Surely that shouldn't cause an unhandled exception?

--- Comment #7 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-03-03 04:21:52 --- http://www.farb-rausch.com/fr08_final.zip
Works fine in wine-0.9.56-286-g1032ba6, no virtual desktop, kubuntu gutsy, nvidia fx 5200/binary drivers.
Confirming that disabling sound causes a crash.

--- Comment #8 from Ben Hodgetts (Enverex) ben@atomnet.co.uk 2008-03-17 06:16:35 --- Correcting title. Minor because it's not often that you'd need to run it without any sound-cards selected.

--- Comment #9 from Ben Hodgetts (Enverex) ben@atomnet.co.uk 2008-06-07 07:29:14 --- Still present in 1.0-rc3.

--- Comment #11 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-12-08 04:15:27 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.10 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #12 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-01-18 03:47:57 --- Removing deprecated CVS/GIT version tag. Please retest in current git. If the bug is still present in today's wine, but was not present in some earlier version of wine, please update version field to earliest known version of wine that had the bug. Thanks!

--- Comment #15 from Rico kgbricola@web.de 2009-07-22 10:35:23 --- Still crashes when no sound drivers were selected. But I'm not sure if it is a wine bug. Could anyone try this on win without a sound card/ with a disabled sound card?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11780
--- Comment #16 from Rico kgbricola@web.de 2009-07-22 14:32:42 --- On XP with no sound card (deactivated per software) the app quits. It doesn't crash there.
