I was trying to load the game sims 4 but there seems to be a problem

Could you retest the game agaisnt 1.8 or 1.9 or wine-staging 1.9 series?

does overriding msvcr120 via winecfg bypass the issue?

Still crashes with wine-2.20 in 64-bit mode due to a msvcr120.dll not
implemented crash (not sure if it's exactly the same as here). A msvcr120.dll
override and installing vcrun2013 64-bit with a recent enough version of
winetricks fixes it.

backtrace.txt in wine-2.20 (staging)

Here a backtrace with wine-2.20 (staging) on Fedora 27 (Beta) x64 when
msvcr120.dll is set to builtin. With winetricks vcrun2013 & setting
msvcr120.dll to native, the crash goes away.

For what it's worth, for me the game runs fine now without any dll overrides on
5.13 staging apart from some "Origin not running" race condition:
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44041 (which only happens sometimes)

So it seems to me like this issue here is possibly gone
