Bug ID: 39012 Summary: Game "Yesterday" crashes while being played (OS X Yosemite) Product: Wine Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 OS: Mac OS X Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: deka95500@hotmail.com
Hi everyone,
I have a version of Yesterday that was built using a wrapper from this website(external link).
Everything worked fine until I reached the 3rd stage. The game was stuck on a loading screen and eventually crashed before showing a message saying:
"Yesterday.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close."
The wrapper is using Wineskin 2.5.8 / WS8Wine1.3.16. I'm using Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on a 2013 MBP.
Can you please help me figure out what the issue is?
Thank you!

And plain Wine, at that. You mention using a wrapper, but, beyond that, your backtrace indicates that it's using a hacked version of Wine, which we can't debug because we can't know what's been changed.

Thank you guys!
I have tested with plain Wine 1.7.48 and I couldn't run the game. It was stuck on a dark screen.
I also tested with the wrapper provided by Wineskin which runs Wine 1.7.47. I could run the game but this time, it crashed on the home screen.
I have supplied new backtraces for my attempts.
Thanks again!

From the log:
Wine cannot find the FreeType font library. To enable Wine to use TrueType fonts please install a version of FreeType greater than or equal to 2.0.5. http://www.freetype.org
You need to fix this. You can install XQuartz and do:
export DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/X11/lib:/usr/lib
before running Wine. Or you can use MacPorts or Homebrew or something to install FreeType and change the above command to set DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH to reference the appropriate directory.

--- Comment #8 from tblodt@icloud.com --- It seems to me that your install of wine 1.7.48 is screwed up. If you try some other programs, you'll find that *nothing*, not even built-in programs, works at all. (shut up, grammer nazis) The wineskin 1.7.47 doesn't have the same problem.
Did you install it with Homebrew? If not, how did you install it?
