I should have added that:
1) you can get the ti tools from
http://education.ti.com/us/resources/developer/8992/hilight/hilight.html (yes,
you will need to register but it is legal and free to use it for personal use).

2) I am running the unmodified fc3 binary rpm on a stock fc3 linked from your
download section.
