The program is Mids' Hero Designer 1.40006, the 1.3 version worked properly, and the original 1.4 had a different display problem. I have a GeForce FX 5200 with driver version 173.14.12, though I did have the same problem with two previous drivers. I'm running Kubuntu Hardy.
I have attached two screenshots, one being the older version which worked properly for comparison, and the other being the current version with the display issues, If I can find a screenshot of 1.4 I'll attach that also in case it may be useful.

I have a similar problem with my Mono install, but different from yours. Mine displays under another object rather than not at all. At least mine is useable, so you will be able to use the program while we work with Mids on the problem.
