Summary: PokerStars: unable to use program links to web pages Product: Wine Version: 0.9.45. Platform: PC URL: http://www.pokerstars.com OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: wine-console AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: develaine@gmail.com
When clicking on any part of the PokerStars UI that would normally bring open a link to another web page (i.e.: Team PokerStars images in the main window which should open the bio page of the player on their website), winebrowser is called, but either cannot interpret the URL or is never given the URL to open. If I could figure out how to get Wine to show me what's being passed as the URL if anything, I'd be more specific on the issue, however I'm coming up short with that while reading the debug documentation. Only tested the pokerstars.com version of the software, but since this isn't related to the pay tables, I figure the .net software will have the same issue. Have not tested that, however.

--- Comment #1 from Hans Leidekker hans@it.vu.nl 2007-09-22 07:51:15 --- Works for me with current git and nothing but PokerStars installed. Try removing ~/.wine and install only PokerStars. Attach a +winebrowser log if it still fails for you:
WINEDEBUG=+winebrowser wine PokerStars.exe

--- Comment #2 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2007-09-23 19:56:28 --- Works fine here as well in wine 0.9.45.
What version of wine are you using? Please (re)move .wine, upgrade to 0.9.45 if you aren't using it and test again. Otherwise, this bug will be closed as invalid, since others cannot reproduce.

--- Comment #3 from Thomas Burns develaine@gmail.com 2007-09-23 22:42:32 --- Been using 0.9.45, as I stated in the drop downs. After moving .wine to .old-wine based on the first response, it does seem to be working. Makes me wonder if this has anything to do having installed wine-gecko.
