Native d3dx9 works around it. The missing screen shows some csi info, without
it you get a black screen and then it goes straight to the Ubisoft splash
screen.

Same windowscodecs warning for starcraft 2 demo, which exits silently on start
without native d3dx9_36.

DDS format support has been added to D3DXGetImageInfoFromFileInMemory. This bug
can be closed as fixed then.

Splash screen works indeed in 1.6-rc1.
