saving a compressed image using UMDGen is impossible due to a dialog box not
showing when saving.
Uncompressed images save just fine, but without the dialog box to select what
compression level CISO/DAX images cannot be saved.

What version of UMDGen? Is there a sample image to test with?

Sorry should of mentioned, the latest version. UMDGen 4.0
It fails with all images i've tried it on dax/iso/cso

I've managed to get it -kinda- working after some experimentation with the wine
settings, It works when i untick "Allow window manager to control the windows"
under the graphics tab in WINE configuration.
But that makes it always in front of other windows, and makes it hard to use
anything else while its running.
I would prefer if i could use my window manager to at least minimize it.

My machine is a kubuntu 7.10 (gutsy)

$ kwin --version
Qt: 3.3.7
KDE: 3.5.8
KWin: 3.0

$ uname -a
Linux shinobu 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Fri Feb 1 04:59:50 UTC 2008 i686
GNU/Linux

Nothing fancy like compiz running

Yeah, it works within a virtual desktop fine.
