--- Comment #2 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2010-11-13 08:02:26 CST --- Hello,
I've been using Fedora 14 just for a couple of days. I didn't install that teamviewer application from the rpm package just looked into the contents of the rpm. The application comes bundled with a Wine version 1.1.41 (according to the wine.inf). That won't work on Fedora 14, please have a look at this bug report on Fedora's bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=617968 Due to changes in glibc shipped with Fedora 14 no Wine prior to 1.3.0 will run for you (unless you patch the source). I stumbled upon the same problem just after upgrading to Fedora 14: all of my compiled Wine versions before 1.3.0 segfaulted in glibc.

--- Comment #3 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2010-11-13 08:11:48 CST --- I must add, my previous comment was only an assumption. If you install the glibc-debug package from the repos the generated backtrace probably would be more informative.

--- Comment #4 from Hassan Latif admin@nixgurus.net 2010-11-13 08:38:30 CST --- Hi,
I have glibc-debug package installed on my machine glibc-debuginfo-2.12.90-18.i686. It is still asking to me to install "debuginfo-install teamviewer5" package to submit the bug to bugzilla.redhat.com. I am facing many errors with wine-1.3.6-1.fc14.i686. I installed FrontPage 2003 in it and it never starts only generates some .dll files error and then closed. I think wine is not stable on fedora 14.

--- Comment #5 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2010-11-14 00:49:35 CST --- On the Fedora forum someone suggested installing the Teamviewer windows executable using the Fedora shipped Wine (1.3.6 is in the repos now): http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpost.php?p=1416317&postcount=3

--- Comment #6 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2011-10-29 14:09:20 CDT --- Hassan, are you able to run TeamViewer 5 with a recent Wine (1.3.31 or newer)?
Version 6 is now the latest one, but TeamViewer 5 is still available for download (look at the previous versions page): http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/index.aspx
TV 5 can be started fine here, using wine-1.3.31-172-g7df0245.

--- Comment #7 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2013-11-13 16:52:22 CST --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.6 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.6 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).
