So you mean if you let Steam update your Counter Strike 1.6 to latest version
it crashes when starting it? Or doing what? Please specify exact steps on how to reproduce the problem.
Yes, when I update CS 1.6 Steam to latest version (48 protocol CS 1.6) it crashed. But if I used CS 1.6 not last version (47 protocol) CS 1.6 work, but Steam update CS the latest version

Counter-Strike 1.6 loads and you see the standard 1.6 background of CS. But the menu is not loading most of the times and sometimes when it does load there are only 2 menu items then crashes. One time Counter-Strike did fully load then I goto Options and it crashed.
When it crashes Wine comes with the popup it crashed.
The log file is from Steam from the moment I started Counter-Strike.
I started with:
WINEDEBUG=all && wine "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe"

--- Comment #13 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2010-04-29 22:28:57 --- Make sure your sound is properly configured and working. At least inside winecfg.

--- Comment #14 from Alex zjaakie@gmail.com 2010-05-02 09:23:25 --- Ok, i got CS running today, winecfg and Ubuntu sound is both configured good. Uninstalled the ATI (catalyst) drivers, and now didn't even install Hardware Drivers (at least it says it's not activated) but direct rendering is Yes.
So when I start Counter-Strike in windowed mode by adding -windowed to the Launch Options it does start, but when I start it fullscreen it just shows the Counter-Strike background image.
Ok next. When started in windowed mode, I got really crappy FPS, about 30 in the menu's, when loading a map between ~15 a ~20 fps, should be 30 when loading, while I've had 100 FPS in wine before in-game, now i've had about ~30 FPS, and it crashed in about 15 seconds.
I'm going to try if it makes difference when I activate the drives, when it doesn't, should I post both debug logs? Windowed and Fullscreen?
HW: ATI Radeon HD 4870

--- Comment #15 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2010-05-02 15:02:00 --- (In reply to comment #14) This points to broken drivers and/or incorrect xorg configuration. Original bug was about problems with nvidia drivers.

--- Comment #16 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2012-03-19 14:53:15 CDT --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 650 days. Is this still an issue in current (1.4 or newer) wine?
