Following the Howto all seems works well but Dedicated server is just
responding to client by its name ... but do nothing else.

"When I started the server, the server looks okay and running, and I checked if
people could connect via "condor-club" "test server".
Condor-club told me it was connectable!!!

but.......... when I try connecting from a different windows computer, condor
just hangs."

[dedicated server with wine] -> [windows client] connecting?
 ^using d-play-libs

Yes dedicated server running on Linux/Wine installed following the howto
available here:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=10399

So yes using dplay native libs

linux/wine client is having same behavior. Still the same message as windows
client : "Connectiong to x.x.x.x".

Yes : same behaviour with wine 1.1.29.

This bug has not been updated for three years. Is this still an issue in
current (1.5.4 or newer) wine? Or should this be changed to abandoned ?

Over 2 years without new posts, no answer to last reminder, no download (no
demo available), no ways to reproduce. Resolving abandoned, if anyone can still
reproduce this in latest wine version feel free to reopen.
