Hi,

we are trying to Install TOAD for MySQL by using wine in Ubuntu Linux 13.10 we
are not able to complete the Installation, installation Hangs at publishing
product information. please find the attached image for more information.

We are getting error like "fixme:msg:pack_message msg 14 (WM_ERASEBKGND) not
supported yet". i need to install toad for mysql in LINUX please help me.

what do you mean with 'hang'? 1 minute .. 5 minutes?
A long delay is actually expected.
The installer runs .NET's ngen tool on the GAC which also includes newly
installed assemblies.
That can take several minutes to complete.
At this time there should be some CPU/IO load seen.

Is there a download for this version available (the caption says 6.0)?

HI Dear,

Why you people giving us unnecessary answers to my issue, my issue is iam not
able to  install toad for mysql by using wine. i think this is not possible if
so please give me the steps. some body telling me that use letest dev version,
i tried that one also but no use, if its not possible i will tink for
alternatives  i don't want to waste my time on this.

I was just explaining a possible cause for the seemingly long delay/hang.
In most cases I'm pretty spot-on when it comes to diagnosing things.
Additionally I asked for a download to be able to reproduce the issue.

"please give me the steps" ... sure, let me just look into my crystal ball.

Just a hint: Most people here are volunteers who work on the Wine project in
their free time. They are free to help you, but they are also just as free to
ignore you especially if you throw complaints towards them.

Again: provide a download location/URL for the _exact_ version of this app
installer (6.0.x?).
