Am reporting network success on KaZaa/Lite and out-of-the-box succcess on MIRC 
6.03 here. FreeBSD-STABLE 4.8 as of July 7, 2003; wine 20030709 built from CVS 
*not ports*, and XFree86 4.3.0,1 metaport, so it's definitely something with 
your system.
