Hello, ive recently installed wine and steam, both of which installed smoothly, but when I am running the steam client I cannot browse the internet within steam. I do not own any steam games and am trying to purchase a game, when I try to buy from steams website It trys to load a page in steam something to the effect of steam:// but does not recognize to open the purchase page in stream instead I get a could not be displayed error in mozilla or opera. when I try to purchase through steam client, i get a "internet explorer: page cannot be displayed" error. How do I enable proper browsing within steam? oh im running ubuntu edgy

Please try installing winegecko like so:
wine iexplore.exe http://www.winehq.org
And then try to run steam and see if it works.
