[Bug 29420] New: Skyrim doesn't launch with wine 1.3.35

When I try to launch the game through Steam interface, I get an error message
saying that SkyrimLauncher encountered a serious error, and then the launcher
exits.

When I tried to launch skyrim with this command :

wine ./SkyrimLauncher.exe

It never launches. I attached the trace of the command.

My system :

- openSUSE 12.1, Gnome3
- x86-64
- kernel :  3.1.0-1.2-desktop
- nvidia GeForce 9600M GT
- driver : 290.10
- wine 1.3.35

If I understand the modification of the title of my bugs, it seems that I need
vcrun2008 to run skyrim.

If I install vcrun2008 with winetricks, I get an error box that says:

-vcrun install complete, but could not find file in
~/.wine/dosdevices/c:/windows/winsxs/x86_microsoft.vc90.mfc_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.6161_none_deadbeef

Is it normal that the folder name finished with ...noe_deadbeef ?

If I try to repair or deinstall vcrun2008, I get this message :

No, not correct. We do not support winetricks here. Read this for details:

This bug is about missing functions in Wine's implementation of msvcp90.dll.

work on this problem (implementing missing function).

A workaround has been given (use winetricks to install native component). Why
it doesn't work, or for general help with Wine please refer to forum.

The launcher for Fallout: New Vegas (Steam) also needs that function.
Mscodescan reveals a few more stubbed symbols in msvcp90 regarding
FalloutNVLauncher.exe.

I don't have Skyrim to test, but the Fallout:New Vegas launcher starts fine,
using the built-in msvcp90 since commit
555b31bdad98fb49814569b1bf7859b6a7d59c90.
The game itself can be started from the launcher, but Wine crashes when I click
on <Options> in the launcher. This is probably a different bug, although it is
related to msvcp90, because using the native one works around the crash. Here's
the backtrace I receive when clicking on the options button in F:NV launcher:

p.s: bug #31077 was wrongly identified as a dupe of this bug: Fallout 3 needs
the same function, but in msvcp80, not in msvcp90. So, bug #31077 is still
alive, as of wine-1.5.10-250-g6c1fcaa.
