Bug ID: 52225 Summary: Several games suffer from audio crackling due to underflows in winepulse.drv Product: Wine Version: 7.0-rc1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: winepulse.drv Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: rbernon@codeweavers.com Distribution: ---
This is particularly noticeable in the menu of Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, or Forza Horizon 4. It's been like that since the transition to PE FAudio and xaudio, and most likely caused by FAudio going through mmdevapi now where it used SDL pulse backend before.

--- Comment #1 from Rémi Bernon rbernon@codeweavers.com --- This should be fixed in 7.0-rc2. I could see a few remaining underflows happening, but much less frequent and the audio is generally fine.
