it´s the report of the terminal

The game instalation stops at the half with the errror -1603 (msi)
I coppied the two cd on my harddrive3 and started the insatlation.

At first glance, this looks suspicious:
err:msi:cabinet_notify failed to create L"C:\Programme\Sierra\DER HOBBIT
\Ch05_Swo.000" (error 3)

Note the space after the directory name "DER HOBBIT ".

I added a demo version under URL, I think that should work, but it is very
small my version has 1.2GB on 2 CD´s.
The space instalation space can you just choose untill "Sierra", "Der hobbit"
creates ther game.

Error output from installation

I can confirm the bug with wine-1.1.14
The Installation of the game (did not test the demo yet) quits after a few
seconds with "Error: 1627 ERROR_FUNCTION_FAILED".
The error happens no matter if disks are copied to harddrive or not.

Since this seems to still exist, provided terminal output from a failed
install. Same error as original bug report. The installation seems to hang
almost immediately when attempting to copy files (or at least the GUI installer
does). About half the time it'll request Disk 2 a couple minutes later, and
then give error -1603 and fail shortly after it's inserted - the other half
it'll never request the disk, and simply return error -1603 after several
minutes.
