This is to confirm the bug.
Launches program, window bar is clickable from menu bar, menu bar is blanked out and not accessible, login is successful with sound chime and display of users online, pauses briefly then crashes 'program problem / serious error' message. I notice that the ad banner usually at the bottom is not displayed.
Terminal output attached.

--- Comment #5 from sirald66 sirald66+WineHQ@gmail.com 2009-06-03 01:58:30 --- Until WINE resolves the bug, here are two alternatives:
GYachE Improved is a very mature Yahoo Messenger compatible Linux client:
http://gyachi.sourceforge.net/
"How to run Yahoo Messenger 9 in Wine" is a productive discussion trying to hack the problem from outside WINE:

--- Comment #8 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2009-06-26 06:49:37 --- Don't piggyback one bug on another. If you have a new problem, ask in a support forum first. Bugzilla is for dealing with bugs. You need to install vcrun2005. http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks
