Bug #: 29629 Summary: Cannot prevent window manager from decorating virtual desktop Product: Wine Version: 1.3.37 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: mel@raumkraut.net Classification: Unclassified
Since Wine version 1.3.36 (1.3.37 is latest tested at time of writing), the "Allow the window manager to decorate the windows" winecfg option hasn't been working when emulating a virtual desktop. Whether or not the option is selected, the virtual desktop's titlebar and borders get decorated by the WM. If I revert back to 1.3.35, the option in question changes whether window decorations get rendered or not for virtual desktops.
I'm using XFCE (4.6.1) on Ubuntu Lucid.
I suspect this was caused by the fix which closed: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29373
However, this now absent functionality, to which I have become accustomed, has sat as it's own "new" bug report for quite a while already: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12677 - It would be nice to have it confirmed (through that and/or this bugs' status) whether the now missing functionality was ever actually intended!
