Outlook Express after installation does not run. It gives some error messages
and stops. The console output in in the attachment.

This may be because the installation does not complete. It does not create any
new menu entries. This is probably related to bug

The tested version was Outlook Express 6.

Would love to confirm this bug, but I am not able to install outlook express.
Afer searching I finally found this download:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/E-mail/E-mail-Clients/Outlook-Express....

Yet it complains that the version of internet explorer in wine is newer than
the one budled in this install.

Please give instructions on how to install Outlook Express, then I will try
confirm this bug if there is any.

You install Internet Explorer and then you find msoe.exe and run it.

Use this to get past first blocker:

After that though i get stuck at:

"Setup was unable to download the required components"....

It works for iesetup.exe but not for iesetupoe.exe

Same on you setup ?

Which version are you using? Doing:
winetricks -q ie6
cd "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Outlook Express"
wine msimn.exe

works fine here.
