thanks -- that gets me further. i also had to put a copy of msdart.dll into system32 to get the installer to start.
alas, i get as far as the splash screen (picture of woman,smiling lovingly at her PC), i then get a bigger gray window, and all action stops. the log is attached. clearly i'm missing the macromedia libs, but i can't really tell in the log which libs are eventually satisfied, and which aren't. (for instance, there are still warnings about not finding msdart.dll, but no message saying it was found.)
as for macromedia -- do i need to install a windows version of this, or is wine looking for the unix version of this?
