There is an error when the game starts and a choice to close the application or not. If not, then the main menu shows up. You can start a new game and it works fine (i think - i didn't test it much). If choose to "See intro" or "See intro help video" same error happens. After several repetitions game crashes.
Closing after the first error gave me attached backtrace.
I've tried staging too with similar result. Backtraces slightly different.

How did you install Wine? If it was using distribution packages, can you please install 32-bit gstreamer libraries and plugins, run 'wine wineboot -u', and try again?

There is a minor issue when videos aborted — error "Switch to GDI failed". But i don't think it's breaks the gameplay.

There is a minor issue when videos aborted — error "Switch to GDI failed". But i don't think it's breaks the gameplay.
That's still probably a bug and worth reporting, provided it doesn't happen on Windows as well. Let's repurpose this bug for that issue.
